Greensburg, Indiana – The Decatur County Visitors Commission (DCVC) is excited to announce
the appointment of Erica Gunn as its new Executive Director. A proud 2000 graduate of Purdue
University, Erica brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role, having served as
the Marketing Director for Visit Greensburg over the past six years.

In her previous position, Erica has been instrumental in shaping the brand and image of tourism
in Decatur County, successfully coordinating and executing a variety of innovative marketing
strategies. Her leadership has been pivotal in the remarkable success of the Decatur County
Summer Concert Series, further demonstrating her commitment to enhancing our community’s
cultural offerings.

“Erica’s contributions to tourism in Decatur County have been invaluable,” stated DCVC Board
President Ryan Maddux. “We are thrilled that she is ready to assume a more prominent role
within our organization, and we are confident that she will lead us to new heights.”
In addition to her work with Visit Greensburg, Erica has held numerous leadership positions in
the community, including serving as past president of Main Street Greensburg. She currently
lends her expertise to the boards of the Decatur County Parks Department and the Decatur
County Arts and Cultural Council.

Upon her appointment as Executive Director, Erica expressed her enthusiasm: "I am honored to
take on the role of Executive Director at Visit Greensburg, and I am excited to serve our
community. I look forward to collaborating with our partners to create exceptional experiences
for both our residents and visitors. Together, we can highlight all that makes Decatur County a
vibrant and welcoming destination."

Erica resides in Decatur County with her husband, Josh, and their three children: Arden, Harper,
and Emerson.

The Decatur County Visitors Commission is comprised of a seven-member board, with
appointees selected by the Mayor, the Decatur County Commissioners, and the Decatur County
Council. The DCVC is funded exclusively through the County Room Tax, a 5% tax levied on
overnight lodging within the county. According to state statute, these funds are allocated "to
promote and encourage conventions, visitors, and tourism within the county." The current board
includes Ryan Maddux, Joann Burkhart, Eric Rowles, Daniel Fayette, Darren Covington, Zane
Paulson, and Dominque Bancroft.
